In July 2021, the CeleNation League came to life with an outdoor summer league. After a successful first season, and intrigue amongst others in the basketball community, Mike decided to elevate the league by taking things indoors. Season 2 was played at the Winter Park Community Center where the competition was taken to new heights. Highlights began to make their rounds on social media with a few viral moments on Tiktok, and thus the league took Orlando by storm. Season 3 saw the league expand to 6 teams, season 4 it grew to 7, and season 5 they took it to 8 teams with 2 conferences being formed. Along the way, we've seen more highlights and viral moments turning the CeleNation League into an Orlando basketball staple. Season 6 we will see a final 8 team season with a massive expansion on the horizon for season 7! Who will be the Summer CNL Champs of Season 6?

CeleNation League

League Owner

At the age of 25, Mike Scalco, better known as Franchise The Rapper, created the CeleNation League (CNL). Franchise is an Orlando based artist, basketball league owner, and entrepreneur. His love for basketball is the driving force behind the league. His vision is to “give regular joes a chance to feel like pros” He uses his love of entertainment and music to stay forward thinking in order to create new ways to enhance both the player and fan experience. Season 6 is the start of a new frontier. With a larger platform and new sponsorships, the sky is the limit for Mike Scalco and the CNL.

Michael Scalco

League Commissioner

A former CNL legend who has been a part of the CeleGames tournament since 2013, Commissioner Parker Landis has stepped into this role as of Season 5. With his season coming to an early end season 2 due to injury, he remained sidelined, and became infamous for his sideline commentary. Season 4 he made his return to the court for a championship run on The Dogs, then decided to take an early retirement. Parker is our lead sideline reporter, player interviewer, and joke teller who is always there to add some insight and comedic relief. We are happy to have Parker as part of the Commission, and can’t wait to see what he brings to the table in Season 6.
